Ashton Gate holds around 22,000 and is an all seated stadium, although due to seating blocking capacity is 19,000 ish. The four stands are named "The Williams Stand", "The Dolman Stand", "The Wedlock Blackthorn Stand" and "The Carling Ateyo Stand". Ashton gate has a high reputation for its playing surface quality and has the largest gymnasium in Divsion 2. In January 2005 plans were submitted for redevlopment of the Wedlock Stand. This stand is now due to be demolished in July 2005 with a new stand being built taking the capacity to 22,000. Check out the plans in the link below
