THE ELEGANT TART

I go to a social club a couple of times a month on a Saturday night. The club has a function room upstairs. I give a local couple a lift when I go. On a normal Saturday there is few houses of Bingo then a cabaret act in downstairs bar. One Saturday last November I saw some posters advertising a 'vicars and tarts night' the following week, so in all innocents I asked the people I know what it was all about. I was told it was held upstairs and there would be a disco and mostly the men dressed as 'tarts' and girls as 'vicars'. No one at club knew about my feminine side. So I said I liked a disco so would see if I could dress up and go. There was to be the usual bingo downstairs.

On the night in question, the couple I take were not going. So dressed in my pvc skirt and other tarty bits, off I went. On arrival I went straight upstairs so anyone there that knew me did not see me (to start with). Had a good start when a man that was setting up the disco past me on the stairs and said "thank you love" when I stood aside for him. Quite a few men made an effort but I do not think there were any other tvs there. Had a nice evening dancing and watching people acting about. However the best part came later, the man of the couple I usualy take, came up the stairs and said they had changed their minds and come after all. They also asked if I would give them a lift home. So said I would meet them downstairs at 11pm.

When I went down I had put my coat and sencible shoes on, to drive home. The shoes had about 2inch heel. Very pleased with the reaction, I went into the downstairs bar and the men were laughing and saying "who's taking you home darling" and such like, but I was even more pleased when the ladies I know said I looked realy nice. One said "are you able to walk in those heels" so I could not resist opening my bag and saying these are my high heels as I took out my red 4inchers. One lady said "you can't walk in them, at least I couldn't". So I took off my coat and put on the shoes and gave them a little walk by this time more people were looking at me than at the man singing and playing his guitar. The very best part was when I went the next time to the club, at first there were not many people in so I said "perhaps me being an old tart last time had scared people away". One of the ladies said "you did not look like a tart, you looked like an elegant lady" and several others agreed so that realy made my day........ well my year really.
