Hannah Nutt served as a Women's Voluntary Service Volunteer. The W.V.S. were trained to care for people in emergency and the word Royal was added to the name after the war, as a thank you for their work. They are now the W.R.V.S. Hannah Nutt also knitted countless woollen garments to be worn by soldiers, sailors and airmen. |
