The true identity of a man who was mistakenly interviewed on live television news programme has been revealed.

Guy Goma, a graduate from the Congo, was waiting in the reception for his interview for a job vacancy when he was called through. He was taken into the studio and placed in a chair in front of a live television camera and promptly asked questions in his capacity as and “expert” in the field of IT.

The interviewer questioned him about the Apple iPod / Apple Corps court battle, of which he knew absolutely nothing. He thought it was a bizarre initiative test to see if he could cope under pressure and so gave his opinions as to how he saw the court case developing. Realizing that her interviewee was talking a load of waffle, she calmly asked him if he was an Information Technology expert, to which he replied,

“I’m only here for a job interview.”

A week after his mistaken identity, Guy Goma was back in front of the cameras and said that he was still waiting for the result of his job interview.
