CwmAman EcoAction organise and carry out local environmental projects of all
sizes – from litter-picks and river clean-ups to longer-term, larger-scale
actions aimed at preserving and enhancing local and regional biodiversity –
in ways which involve as many members of our community as possible and which
contribute toward the sustainable development of our village, the valley and
our planet.
Although the main focus of the group is on practical, hands-on activities we
also try to ensure that environmental issues and concerns are taken into consideration
by the many other groups and organisations active in our community.
Wherever possible we collaborate with other local community groups in carrying
out our activities. We also actively seek advice, funding and support from other
national and international environmental organisations.
Who can be a member?
Anyone who lives or works in Cwmaman and is over 18 years old is welcome to

You don’t need to have any special knowledge, skills or equipment to join

works closely with local wildlife experts, environmentalists and scientists
who provide us with advice and training whenever needed.
What’s involved in being a member?
This group is all about getting out and taking positive and practical action
for the environment – it’s not about sitting around in meetings!
As a member of CwmAman EcoAction you will take part in as few or as many activities
as you like – any contribution of time or effort is very welcome. We’ll
make sure you always know what’s going on – all you need to do is
turn up!
