This is a selection from more than 1000 images taken on our trip to Utah and Arizona. We flew from Manchester to Phoenix, arriving in the early evening.

Day 1 We then drove north on the I-17 to Jerome and Sedona. Traveling through Oak Tree Canyon to Flagstaff. As we had stayed at Williams, on the famous Route 66, on a previous trip we knew it was a good place to visit the Grand Canyon from.
Day 2 We spent the full day at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Traveling back to Williams when the sun was setting.
Day 3 Our route was back to the Grand Canyon and traveling east along the Rim calling at Desert View. Eventually we arrived at Page and after finding somewhere to stay we visited Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell.
Day 4 Our Destination was to be Monument Valley. En route we visited Antelope Canyon which was very colourful and a rocky ride in the Navaho's transport to get to the Canyon. Monument Valley was another rocky ride but in the hire car, very impressive. We traveled on to Mexican Hat for our night stop.
Day 5 As we set off towards Moab we came across the Valley of the Gods. Another Monument Valley for free and very quiet. There were only two more cars there. On arriving in Moab we visited Arches National Park in time for sunset.
Day 6 Staying for three nights in Moab we were able to visit Dead Horse Point, Canyonlands and Island in the Sky.
Day 7 We Traveled on Scenic Byway 128 as far as Dewey Bridge passing Red Cliff Ranch on the way. Time allowed us to go back to Arches again and visit some of the Windows and Arches. We went as far as Desert Garden and Landscape Bridge.
Day 8 Time to leave Moab and make the 300 mile journey to Bryce Canyon. We traveled through Capitol Reef Park and Escalante to arrive at Bryce, to find all motels were full. We stayed in Panguitch.
Day 9 We spent the day at Bryce Canyon. We hiked in the Canyon from Sunset Point down the zig zags, visiting the rock fall at Navaho. Along the valley to Queen's Garden and back out of the Canyon a less steep way, at Sunrise Point. Then back along the rim to Sunset Point.
Day 10 Our route now took us to Zion National Park and Springdale. To visit the Park you have to use the Shuttle bus. You can hop on and off to visit different stops on the way. The scenery is massively high red cliffs, very majestic with names like Angel's Landing.
Day 11 Decision time where next? As we had been to Las Vegas before we decided to go to Kanab and visit the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Not as busy as the South Rim but still as awesome.
Day 12 It was time to head south again via Page. Where we stopped off to look at the view of Wahweap Marina on Lake Powell. Retracing our route to Flagstaff. Visiting the Historic Downtown on the Route 66 was good to see. No Special Photos
Day 13 Back to Phoenix via Oak Tree Canyon (looks different from this direction) and Sedona. While in Phoenix we went to Scottsdale made us of the free trolley bus. After visiting the Desert Botanical Garden and Zoo we were glad to escape from the 90 deg heat in the Shopping Mall.
